Asphalt vs concrete
Concrete can excel for decorative finishes and some freeze–thaw exposures when reinforced and jointed correctly. Asphalt usually wins on initial cost, repairability, and winter traction in our climate—especially for larger residential drives and commercial lots where longitudinal cracking in concrete drives higher replacement cost.
